Chris Weidenbacher is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) serving clients in the West Metro of the Twin Cities. Born in Arizona but raised in a small suburb of the Twin Cities, Chris embodies the typical Minnesotan spirit. Growing up in a tight-knit family of all women, Chris learned the importance of emotional connection in building intimate relationships, becoming the "ring leader" or connector in their friend group, often bringing people together. Chris enjoys traveling with his spouse, attending sporting events (SKOL!), playing and gradually improving at disc golf, and being goofy with nieces and nephews. While tending to be loud and boisterous, Chris strives to balance this with humor and grace. Experiencing family loss and grief over the past few years has taught Chris to be more mindful and appreciative of the present. Currently, Chris is learning Spanish to connect more deeply with in-laws. Professionally, Chris is also a board-approved supervisor for both the BBHT and BMFT boards and serves as Adjunct Faculty/Assistant Professor in the Counseling & Psychological Services Program at St. Mary's University of Minnesota. Chris's main focus is supporting clients in making systemic changes to their relationships to build calmness, contentment, and connection in their lives using a post-modern and humanistic approach.
