Dr. Sisk grew up in the Minneapolis area; attended undergraduate school in Jamestown, North Dakota; completed her Masters in Adlerian Therapy from the Adler Graduate School, and obtained her Doctorate in Family Psychology from the Harold Abel School of Psychology (Capella University); She has specialized in working with children and their families in the mental health field for many, many years, promoting movement surrounding children's mental health through service on the Children's Mental Health Council in Hennepin County, as well as service of various boards both related to mental health and academia. She is currently an Associate Professor at St. Mary's Graduate School. She and her husband have been married for nearly 40 years with four grown children and three grandchildren. She is passionate about protecting the voice of the child, a lover of animals (especially squirrels), enjoys travel, and is a caretaker of many.
